Norzita (Thorn Park x Visique by Quest For Fame) was purchased for $1.7 million by Freyer Bloodstock for Arrowfield at last Friday’s Chairman’s Sale in Sydney.

The two-time G1 winner is due to foal to Snitzel in August.

Norzita was offered by Lime Country Thoroughbreds on behalf of the late Dato Tan Chin Nam’s Think Big Stud.

Arrowfield chairman John Messara said: “Norzita is an absolute queen, a magnificent individual with an elite race record and an outstanding match in every way for The Autumn Sun.”

An unbeaten G1 winner at two, The Autumn Sun (Redoute’s Choice) is the only horse to sweep the Golden Rose and Caulfield, Randwick and Rosehill Guineas.

The Autumn Sun was named this season’s Champion 3YO Colt at the Hunter Thoroughbred Breeders Association’s Awards and will stand his first season at Arrowfield at a fee of $77,000 inc. GST.
